PhotoSweep
PhotoSweep frees the space on an iPhone that you actually control: the large videos and screenshots sitting in the photo library. A dashboard shows what the library is made of, videos are listed by size with thumbnails, and screenshots clear in a few taps.
The interesting decision is what it refuses to claim
iOS sandboxes every app. No app can read or clear another app’s cache, and none can touch “System Data” — the category that swallows the most space and worries people the most. Apps in this category advertise otherwise; what they clear is their own cache.
PhotoSweep says so on the store page and inside the app, then does the next best thing: deep links and plain steps for clearing Telegram, Instagram, WhatsApp, TikTok and YouTube by hand.
Being the app that admits the limit is a worse pitch and a better product. In a category built on a claim the platform forbids, the honest version is the differentiated one.
